NWTF Launches Advanced Hazard Tree Felling Course

Hazard trees have been the source of multiple injuries and fatalities across the country, particularly in the Wildland Firefighting arena. These accidents have included personnel involved in the cutting operation, as well as nearby observers.

NWTF has taken a proactive approach to helping improve the hazard tree felling skills of sawyers cutting on wildland fires by designing and launching an Advanced Hazard Tree Felling course.
For more information on this course, other chainsaw operation & safety courses, or to schedule a training session contact Gary Krauss, NWTF Training Division Manager at 541 761-0888.
